Mike DeLange

Director

Mike is in his 9th year of coaching for JH Volleyball. He was also a varsity and freshman coach for the Jackson Hole High School volleyball team and coached in the school program for 6 years. He has been playing volleyball ever since he moved to Jackson in 1994. He also referees city league volleyball in Jackson.

Mike attended the University of Montana and received a BS in Computer Science. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys playing softball, photography, and spending time with his dog Louie, who was rescued from Louisiana after hurricane Katrina. Mike owns Crystal Creek Consulting, a company that develops custom web and software solutions. Mike can also be found on Facebook.

Mike Nicholds

Director

Mike is in his 10th year of coaching for JHVB and was a junior varsity and freshman coach for the Jackson Hole High School for 8 years. Mike was a setter for the University of Tennessee club volleyball team.

Mike is a rabid Tennessee Vols fan, loves the color orange, and is a true artist when it comes to carving pumpkins. He also enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking in his spare time. Mike is a concierge at the Four Seasons Resort.

Joe Paulson

Director

Joe is in his 7th year of coaching for JHVB. Before coming to JHVB, Joe played high school volleyball and played as a libero for Northern Arizona University.

Joe plays as much as he can with the JH Men's Volleyball team, but also loves spending time with his wife and new baby Ben.

Katie Mills

Coach

Katie is in her 4th year as a JHVB coach. She has been playing volleyball since she was about 12 and has never stopped! She grew up just outside of Boise, Idaho where she played throughout high school. She has been in Jackson for nearly 8 years now and has been playing in league and open gym for the last several years. Some of the other things she enjoys are running rivers, skate skiing with her dogs, and playing softball. She is also training for a marathon in 2010. She works full time at Aspen Travel and has been there since moving to Jackson in 2001.

Crista Valentino

Coach

Crista is in her third year of coaching for JH Volleyball. Before coming to Jackson, Crista grew up playing volleyball on Long Island and went on to play 4 years of Division I Volleyball at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.

When she’s not on the court, Crista splits her time between exploring the backcountry on skis and snowmobiles, hiking, traveling, and working at The Murie Center.

Angela Peterson

Coach

Angela moved to Jackson in 2004 with her husband and three children. The family welcomed their fourth child in 2006. Angela played high school volleyball in Las Vegas, Nevada and Fairbanks, Alaska. She loves the sport and has played it throughout all four pregnancies and plans to play it till her death.

Angela has shared her passion for volleyball with her own kids and is excited to do the same with the JH Volleyball participants.

Aaron Howley

Coach

Aaron transplanted here from Southern California a little over a year ago. He is actively involved in the First Baptist Church here in Jackson. He loves the game of volleyball and with recently joining the JH Volleyball team plays as much as possible.

Growing up in California most of his free time was spent surfing, but since moving here spends the summers juggling time for hiking, soccer, cycling, and fly fishing. In the winter, time is split between snowboarding, touring, and basketball.

Laurie Balogh

Coach

Laurie Balogh coaches the JH Middle School 8th grade volleyball team. She enjoys working with young athletes as they develop and tune their skills while learning about teamwork and sportsmanship. Laurie began playing volleyball in the 6th grade and has enjoyed jumping in on a game ever since, she plays as an outside hitter and setter.

While away from the court, Laurie enjoys the many sports and activities in both the mountain and ocean climates. From skiing to hiking and fishing to diving, her love of travel and exploration fill a lot of her pastime. She has lived in Jackson for 8 years and proudly calls it her home.

Chris Wolstenholme

Coach

Chris played in the 1996 Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships, where his team placed in the top 20. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2002 with a marketing and management degree. He has been a Jackson resident since 2004 working for Vertical Media, a publisher of regional online travel guides.

Chris enjoys alpine skiing, mountain biking, playing the guitar, backpacking, road trips, climbing, and playing volleyball with the JH crew. His best friends are his two hounds, Ebony and The Dude.
